NMTC 2021-22
NMTC is an acronym for National Mathematics Talent Contest. NMTC is conducted by AMTI (Association of Mathematics Teachers of India) to identify the talent of the students in Mathematics.
NMTC exam is conducted to discover and encourage students who have the capacity for original and creative thinking, readiness to attack unfamiliar and non-routine problems exhibiting a general mathematical ability appropriate to their level.
This year NMTC 2021-22 will be conducted as NMTC 53rd Inter State Competition.
AMTI
AMTI (Association of Mathematics Teachers of India) is an academic body of professionals and students who have a passion in Mathematics research and education. AMTI organization first started in Tamil Nadu and now it is spreading its network in all over the country especially in South India.
AMTI conduct NMTC to identify and encourage students who have the capacity for original and creative thinking, willingness to attempt unfamiliar and non-routine problems, exhibiting a general mathematical ability appropriate to their level.
NMTC 2021-22 Eligibility
NMTC exams is categorized into five levels according to class/grade studying the students.
The students may be from Schools, Junior Colleges of all boards, Degree Colleges and Technological Institutions in India and also Schools affiliated to the CBSE abroad.

NMTC 2021-22 Exam Stage
NMTC is a two stages examination. The stages of NMTC are as below:
Stage 1 : NMTC Preliminary Test : Every candidates of NMTC Primary, Sub-Junior, Junior, except Senior level must appear in NMTC Preliminary test.
Stage 2 : NMTC Final Test: Every candidates of NMTC Primary, Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior level must appear in NMTC Final test. Senior (Degree College) Level students will appear only in NMTC Final Test.
NMTC 2021-22 Exam Paper Medium
In previous years, the medium of the question paper for NMTC Primary, NMTC Sub-Junior, NMTC Junior level are according to state where the candidates belongs, it means the papers is in the English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil or Telgu. But for this year NMTC 2021-22, the medium of paper will be ENGLISH only for all level of NMTC.
And also, for the NMTC Senior Level, the medium of the question paper will be in English only.

NMTC 2021-22 Syllabus for Senior Level (Degree Class)
NMTC 2021-22 syllabus for Senior Level (Degree Classes) is a three hours examination questions with the syllabus of typical B.Sc. Mathematics Course.
NMTC 2021-22 Notification
AMTI released the NMTC 2021-22 notification of the official website of AMTI. In this notification, all the details regarding the NMTC examination like application date, last syllabus, exam pattern are described, which are as below.
NMTC 2021-22 Registration Dates
The last date for NMTC 2021-22 registration is 15 November 2021 (Monday).
NMTC 2021-22 Registration Procedures
To register for NMTC 2021-22 exam, you need to download the Institution- Data Consolidation sheet and Excel format from official website of AMTI (amtionline.com) under the head “NMTC”.
The school should fill up both Institution – Data Consolidation Sheet and Excel format. After that scan both of them and send it to AMTI through email [email protected] along with the details of fees transfer. Incomplete entries are not acceptable. Fill all the details (in English only).

NMTC 2021-22 Registration Fee
The registration fee for NMTC 2021-22 is Rs 150.00.
Out of Rs. 150, each institution will receive from AMTI Rs.25/- per candidate appearing for Stage-1; this is for their incidental expenses and also to conduct the Stage-2 Final test.
NMTC 2021-22 Exam Dates
The NMTC 2021-22 Preliminary Test (Stage 1) exam will be conducted on 04 December 2021 (Saturday) from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The NMTC 2021-22 Final Test (Stage 2) exam will be conducted on 22 January 2022 (Saturday) from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Stage-2 (Final) test will be 3- hours test of subjective type questions reflecting the syllabi of PRMO, RMO, INMO and IMO. These second level tests will be conducted only at the centers authorized by the AMTI.
The solutions of problems shall be written by the candidates only in the answer sheets (strictly A4 size) supplied by their school. Answer books of the final test containing the solutions written by participants should be dispatched on the same day of the examination and delayed receipts will not be entertained.
NMTC 2021-22 Result Date
The result of NMTC 2021-22 will be declared as following.
NMTC Preliminary Test Result : On or Before 18 December 2021
NMTC Final Test Result : On or Before 31 March 2021
Number of Qualifying Students in NMTC
In the result of NMTC Preliminary test, the top 10% scorers at each level will be qualified for the second stage NMTC Final test.

Cash Awards to the top 3 winners in each level at the finals, (1st position Rs.5000/-, 2nd Rs.3000/- and 3rd Rs.2000/-), Merit Certificates for them and others selected at the final level with some cash award for the latter also will be given based on their revealing a reasonable level of mathematical maturity.
