NMTC is an acronym for National Mathematics Talent Contest. NMTC is conducted by AMTI (Association of Mathematics Teachers of India) to identify the talent of the students in Mathematics.
NMTC exam is conducted to discover and encourage students who have the capacity for original and creative thinking, readiness to attack unfamiliar and non-routine problems exhibiting a general mathematical ability appropriate to their level.
AMTI (Association of Mathematics Teachers of India) is an academic body of professionals and students who have a passion in Mathematics research and education. AMTI organisation first started in Tamil Nadu and now it is spreading its network in all over the country especially in South India.
NMTC exams is categorized into five levels according to class/grade studying the students.
The students may be from Schools, Junior Colleges of all boards, Degree Colleges and Technological Institutions in India and also Schools affiliated to the CBSE abroad.

NMTC Exam Stage
NMTC is a two stages examination. The stages of NMTC are as below:
Stage 1 : NMTC Preliminary Test : Every candidates of NMTC Primary, Sub-Junior, Junior, Senior must appear in NMTC Preliminary test.
Stage 2 : NMTC Final Test: Every candidates except NMTC Senior will appear in NMTC Final test. Senior level students appear in NMTC Preliminary test only.
NMTC Exam Paper Medium
The medium of the question paper for NMTC Primary, NMTC Sub-Junior, NMTC Junior level are according to state where the candidates belongs, it means the papers is in the English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil or Telgu.
But, for the NMTC Senior Level, the medium of the question paper will be in English only.

NMTC 2019 Notification
AMTI released the NMTC 2019 notification of the official website of AMTI. In this notification, all the details regarding the NMTC examination like application date, last syllabus, exam pattern are described, which are as below.
NMTC 2019 Registration Dates
The last date for NMTC 2019 registration is 15 July 2019. On this date or before this date, all the application of entries and DD or cash must be sent to the AMTI office at Chennai till 15 July 2019.
NMTC 2019 Registration Fee
The registration fee for NMTC 2019 is Rs 75.00.
The registration center will retain Rs 15.00 (to be used for making student lists and printing admission tickets) and remit the balance of Rs 60.00 to AMTI.
NMTC 2019 Exam Date
The NMTC 2019 Preliminary Test exam will be conducted on 31 August 2019 (Saturday) from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The NMTC 2019 Final Test exam will be conducted on 02 November 2019 (Saturday) from 1 PM to 4 PM.
NMTC 2019 Exam Pattern
As we know that NMTC exam, there are two stages of NMTC examination: NMTC Preliminary and NMTC Final.
For NMTC Preliminary Test, the exam paper pattern as below.
>>In this test, there are two types of questions asked: 1. Objective types with multiple choice questions (Single Option Will be Correct) and 2. Fill in the blanks types questions.
>>The number of objective questions and the fill in the blanks types questions are 50 % of total.
For example: in NTSE Primary level, the total number of questions is 20. Thus, 10 questions are of objective types and 10 questions are of fill in the blanks types.
For NMTC Final Test, the exam paper pattern as below.
>>In this test, the question paper consists of essay type questions. It will be conducted in chosen centres in the respective states and the students appearing for the final tests shall write the test only in the centres allotted by the AMTI.
NMTC 2019 Result Date
The result of NSEJS is declared in the last week of month of December 2019, just next month of the exam.

Number of Qualifying Students in NMTC
In the result of NMTC Preliminary test, the top 10% scorers at each level will be qualified for the second stage NMTC Final test.

NMTC Previous Year Question Papers
The question papers of NMTC is as below.
>> Cash Awards to the top 3 winners in each level at the finals, (1st position Rs.5000/-, 2nd Rs.2500/- and 3rd Rs.1250/-), Merit Certificates for them and others selected at the final level with some cash award for the latter also will be given based on their revealing a reasonable level of mathematical maturity.
