What is CALCULUS and Why we study CALCULUS?

CALCULUS is a branch of Mathematics in which we study how things change and the rate at which things change. CALCULUS was developed in the later half of 17th century by two great mathematicians,  Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz. Now a days, CALCULUS has widespread uses in science, engineering and economics and can solve many problems that elementary algebra alone cannot. CALCULUS deals with the instantaneous rate change of continuously varying quantities,  areas under curves, and sequences and series etc.
